tt-01, used L4, or an rc18 series.

Any pan-car chassis should make an excellent platform. They are extremely light and simple, and you can also cram a bunch of cells onto them. I'd look for a used pan car if you can find one, preferably an old 1/10th scale model that could fit more cells.

Check out the "Car Action's World's Fastest RC Car Challenge" forum, they probably have had extensive conversations on just this topic there.

if its just speed only, get a bolink legend. their cheap, and they have a ton of chassis space. or go try to find an old tamiya chassia.i belive it was a in car action before, it had the chassis that was either fwd/or awd, all you had to do was adda nother gearbox, i believe it is a tt-of3. if youhave back issues of r/c car action, look for it, it made the cover, it was a few years ago. just put in a evx, 2 motors, and 2 batteries, and enjoy bragging rights
