i found a battery wholesaler that has subc nimh individuals. they have a 2200mah sanyo cell for $4, and they have a 3000mah saft ???(never heard of that brand), my question is has anyone heard of a saft cell, and do you think that i would get better performance out of a 2200 sanyo than a 3000 saft.

I used to sell batteries by the truckload.

Buy the Sanyo 2200s. The Saft will not hold up to a high rate charge and discharge. They will work about 10 times and then die.

Saft is one of the largest manufacturers of cells (nimh, nicd, LI-on, etc.) for all industry. Heck they are bigger than Sanyo and Panasonic. Just less well known since they usually don't sell to the public.

But they are not designed for this type of abuse.

The Sanyos are.
