MIP used to make gold shock shafts for the T4. They are no longer made by MIP. I don't know why they quit making them. However, I just bought a FT GT2 and it comes with gold shock shafts. I haven't compared the part numbers between the T4 and the GT2 but they might be the same??

The bleeder caps are probably Yokomo shock caps. Part number YS-8Y found on this (http://www.yokomousa.com/) page. Click>parts list and search for YS-8Y from there. You can make your own from the OEM shocks caps but you need small screws and a small drill bit the same size as the screws. You might screw a few up so have extras :teacher:

Are T4 shocks interchangeable with B4 shocks?

I dont know about the bleeder caps but I would suggest Losi shocks. The ones that come on the MF2 are much better than the Associated.

I just put traxxas shock bladders in the caps of my Associated shocks and they hold oil MUCH better and are about 980000 times easier to build without oil that way as well.

Us the shocks that came with the truck as is. This design is proven and the car is engineered around this shock design.

Maybe the rear shock and the internals, thats it!!

I would just stick with the Associated shocks. Yes, I know they are a PITA to rebuild but like someone said the truck is designed around the shocks.

Just heard that Associated will be replacing the Ubtanium (sp) shafts with the new gold shock shafts in all their Factory Team Kits

As far as I can remember the RC10T shock used a longer shock body, and shaft, and the spring were also longer than those used on the buggy. To confirm that check AE website for kit specs, also check the technical section, what's new on their new shock assembly. I think they have introduced a new internal shock assembly.
I've used AE shocks for years, never had a problem in building them. Usually I'll build the shocks after prepping chassis and suspension parts. Even use the TC3 shock on my oval car but found a better side shock made by Irrgang racing.
