View Full Version : New Yokomo TC announced
The German distributor of Yokomo announced a successor for the popular MR-4TC yesterday on their homepage. News are due at the Spielwarenmesse (biggest toy fair in Europe) starting on next Thursday.
Any news on this in the US?

Your not talking about the yrm4 2 being rereleesed are you?
you me a site so i can see it asap, im in a deal right now for the tc, and wont get it if theres a new one coming out.
thanks
No I'm not talking about a rereleased car.
They announced a successor of the MR-4TC on the German distributors website. The German version of the mR-4TC was called MR-4K3. The new one will be called MR-4K4 in Germany.
I would wait for a couple of days before buying a new yokomo. The fair starts tommorow.

I don't think this is a new car. According to the website, this car was featured in an article in one of the European magazines in Jan. '99. I think this is one of the early versions of the MR4 TC. I'm not great at reading German, but that's what I could gather from the website. Do you have any more information?

I'll put this rumor to rest tomorrow at the show. I'm wondering if you mean their 4-cell car. That would make your "4" reference seem logical. They just release a 4-cell version in Japan since they are going to 4-cell TC.
Look here to see what's new from the show. We should have a "live update" link on the main page.

That makes sense. Like I said, I'm no expert in the German language. The photo above is the K3 model, which I assume is similar to the TC in the US. Derek's suggestion about the K4 sounds reasonable in light of the fact that some sanctioning Orgs. are switching to four cell. DB - keep us up to speed!

4 cells in a tc? without a mod motor, those things must go kinda slow. or very.
but it makes sense, well sorta, they already came out with their factory team equivlent, and the car has been out for a few years.
however if they didnt notice, ITS STILL WINNING!!!
and its not like the pro 3 is out yet, and i doubt hpi will have the same full scale operation that they do.
but it should be interesting whats up.

Steve,
this is the German Version of the MR-4TC which is available since 1999 in Germany.
The announcement (dated 29.01.01) is very short. You can find it at http://www.christian-keil.com/history.html in the upper right corner if you would like to know the source. According to th announcement the new car will be called MR-4K4 at least in Germany.
Anyway tommorow starts the show and we will see.

hello from Germany,
I checked it out and the release is just the Worlds (Hara) edition Yokomo that was released in the Us a few months ago.
The Pro3 wasn't at the show, but should make an appearance soon.
