Anyone have success replacing the stock outdrives with Aluminum ones (such as Robinson Racing or HG)? I suppose the lighter rotating mass would help, but the outdrives would wear faster.
Any experience?

Sorry for the wide distribution, I meant to post to the T3 section, but fat fingered a new topic instead of a reply.

most people ive talked to say they wear incredibly fast, but there are those who say they have been using them for months. I wouldnt get them myself, id spend that money on a new motor or some other goody.

my friend had a titanuim topshaft, aluminum outdrives, and aluminum CVD's for his XXT GP and he always took of faster thnan anyone else usually gaining about four positions rom where he was at the start, man that thing accelerated! I don't know if it was because of his car stuff of his 2000's and his teken G12C and his paradox though, but once I get some oney I think I'm gonna totally lighten out my tranny.

geez, you were talking about how thrifty you are on the T3 tips thread and now youre going to buy some of the most expensive hop ups you can get. Well if you do get the robinson lightened slipper clutch.

I had them on my T3, they are great! Definately worth the upgrade.
