I asked if the B2 could compete with the Losi a couple of weeks ago and said I would post the results. Well we got 2nd!! It was cool! A B3 finished first, then me and a different Losi finished 3rd. Course we were all in the rookie category, but still http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif In the stadium truck category there were lots of nice and expensive Associated, Kyosho's etc with all the goodies. One guy came in with a Protrax Rustler and got 3rd. But it was all good, no one made fun of ANYBODY (not even the kid with the Tamiya Grasshopper) and everybody was willing to help each other out. It was a great afternoon of racing!

I think someone a while back asked if a B2 could run with the Losi's and stuff like that. Well if your the same guy all i gotta say is TOLD YA SO! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Im glad to hear that the older models are hanging with the big boys, or you are just a good driver..LOL If i can take a MRC Ironman turn it into a ST and come in 2nd place, then im sure that it doesn't matter about your "RIDE" being old or not. Just put a good driver behind that radio and throw on some good elecrtics and you have it made. Good luck in your future race's

I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but the driver has the most to do with anything. I ran a fellow racers XXX-NT (I also have one) and I ran my best run 11 laps in 5:24. Well since I did say it is all the driver last week he ran a(with the same truck and setup I drove to a 11 5:24) 12 5:01. Thats nearly 30 seconds of track time just made by a better driver. By no means am I a bad driver he's just really good (gas track record holder, smashed previous by 12 seconds held by a GT, HA HA HA)

Definately agree that the driver has the most to do with it, but in this case equipment DID have something to do with it. We raced on carpet, and if you didn't have the right suntan lotion(dunno why we have to use suntan lotion to soften up the tires, it's in the rules.) you would get NO traction. That Losi was suped up (3000 batts, Speed Gems motor etc) but it was way OVER powered for the course layout http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif The Grasshopper was perfect! I can still picture that little bugger and hear the 540 motor screaming along. Thanks for the luck Badracer! I can't wait to hit the track again this weekend!

No problem Gutter Ball. Yes the driver does count BUT, do you think a Nascar driver with a V6 or V4 would win?? Didn't think so. The equipment does count.
