Just got a new rc18t RTR this weekend. What a cool little truck! I love it, however it didn't come with a manuel. How long do I need to need to charge the battery? What hop ups would you all sugguest. Other rc18t owners I would like to here your advice.

When you first charge the battery, you need to charge it for ten hours. I would pick up a charger like the Duratrax Prahina digital charger. I would suggest the dp products drag link to reduce some slop and you'll have alot better steering. MIP super diffs incase you want to go to brushless. I've owned one since around x-mas of last year and I love it. Out of the box it's fast.

ditto. This (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCLD5&P=ML) with this (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAYU9&P=7) would make battery charging much faster. As for hop-ups, heatsink motor mount, outdrive sleeves, and rpm bumper are about all thats necessary. If you find you are breaking arms and/or shock towers, aluminum ones may be a good idea.

The stock charger doesnt say when its fully charged. It just charges until you unplug it. This (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMGW7&P=ML) would be my battery suggestion. Good quality cells and higher capacity than the stock batt.

I have a smc 1200mah battery (no longer made) and the smc's have alot of rip to them.
I would use http://www2.omnimodels.com/cgi-bin/woi0001p?&I=ASCC0617&P=O

Those seem like there good packs.
On the 18t/mt quick start guide, it says "during inital charge, battery must charge for the full 10 hours" it doen't say how to tell when it's done.

I took it out for spin last night, wow I am surprised how fast this little thing is right out of the box! It rips! It also handles very well. I have always been an AE fan since owning my old RC10 back in the day. Now I have to find some local carpet racing in my local area and go tear the track up with it.

You'll have alot of fun with it. I picked up a reedy vmx concept pack last night and holy cow does it have some rip to it. I don't know of any local racing in my area, so I just bash with mine.
