Dumb question coming. Can you use lithium grease on the drive cable and in the clutch bearing. Thanks for any response

I wouldn't use lithium grease for either. For the bearing I'd use a lube made for them that penetrates it. I can't remember what I used when I ran nitro trucks but I'd soak them in the oil so that it got into them better.
If you can't get the commercially made grease from your LHS then use boat trailer high-speed bearing grease.

Packcrna - I have soaked my on - road car & cutch bearings in a product known "Down Under" as Amsoil - a fully synthetic manual transmission/gearbox/diff oil that won't burn, froth, or fling. It's worth a few dollars per litre, but what you don't put in your car, you keep for jobs like this. Also makes gear changes smoother!
Works for all heat and excessive wear problems are encountered.
Good for spur, bevel, helical, spiral bevel,herring-bone,worm,hypoidand annular gears.
Comes from Superior WI 54880 U.S.A.
(that's what's on the label) :)
Works good on R/C miniature bearings, too!! :teacher:
