what is the deal with 7 cell stick packs? Cant find many options. Tower? no.. Amain.. no... RC BOYZ... no... ?!!?!!!? Ebay.. just a few.. and expensive. WHat packs are people getting, and where are they gettingthem, and for what cost? It seems there is a huge premium for that 7th cell. $20-25 for a 6 cell 3000 stick pack, or $40-$50 for a 7 cell stick?!

It's rare for a 1/10th scale, to find a 7 cell stick pack, but there are some for 1/18th.

Your best bet for getting a cheap 7 cell pack would be to have some place like cheapbatterypacks.com build one for you. I would never use there cells for racing, but for bashing they do the job fine. Since you're after a 7 cell pack I'm guessing that racing isn't in the picture right now.

As norcalracer said, 7 cell packs are pretty rare. In fact with most 7 cell packs the performanced gain by having a slightly higher voltage barely outweighs the weight of the added cell. That combined with the fact that many chassis will find it difficult to accomodate a 7th cell makes the packs quite rare indeed.

These days its far easier to get a peformance gain using lipo batteries. They weigh significantly less than a regular pack, and they have a little extra voltage as well.

Like I said though, if you really want a 7 cell pack you can try having one built for you. Another option would be to look at an airsoft website. Many electric airsoft guns use 7 cell batteries, so you might have some luck there. Just be careful if you go this route. Many airsoft guns use smaller batteries (although a friend of mine has a 7 cell pack made with sub-c's). Be sure you get a pack with correctly sized cells! Also keep in mind that although you should probably be able to find a pack made of GP or other quality cells, I would stay away from any of the no-name generic cells.

there used to be a seven cell mod class.6 cell packs are the norm for racing, but the easiest way would be to order one from maxxamps or look on ebay,i have seen some on there i think i even seen an 8 cell pack marketed towards rustlers or stampedes.hope it helps.

6 cell pack used in racing under ROAR. 7cells used for Mod class or a Outlaw class, or with bashing. Lipos are still illegal in ROAR Racing I believe.

Motors in any manufacturer wll could run up to 14 cells, like dragsters, or speed cars. It's up to the hobbyist to experiment with it.
