Cyanoacrylic Glue??

I am just about to finish building my T3 and i came to the final stage of assembling the wheeles and tires and in one of the steps its says to glue the tire to the wheel with Cyanoacrylic Glue...... is this another name for super glue? Any Help will be appreciated. Thanks

Yes its esentially the same as "super glue". You'll see it listed as CA glue instead of being spelled out. The "super glue" is OK to use but it is thin and not as easy to work with as a medium. You can get thin, medium, and thick weights at the hobby shop. "super glue" will work but be careful or you'll end up with a tire glued to your fingers. Also FYI make sure the rim is nice and clean where you are gluing and if the wheels have a chrome finish, scrape it off of the contact area with a small screwdriver and sandpaper. Good luck.

Thanks guys for the help....I just got back from the hobby shop yesterday and glued my tires on, and wouldnt you know i still managed to glue my finger to a paper towel..,. Dang, lol. Thanks for the help again. Later

Hm...Cyanoacrilic, CA, super glue, finger glue. No seriously get some of tower hobbies debonder when your fingers become some how attatched to each other. it is kinda hard to race with your fingers together or a tire sticking to one hand. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

that deponder stuff dosnt work well. Rinse your hand under hot water and try to pull it pull your finger off whatever ir is glued to. I have glued my finger to balsa wood when i build my planes lots of times but not a tire

Acetone or nail polish remover to get CA off of fingers.

Be careful, Acetone will eat plastic.

At least it was only a piece of paper towel. A friend down the street acually did glue his thumb to a tire. The finger print is still on it... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/eek.gif
