I'm a nitro guy, but because there isn't an off-road track in my area I'm thinking about getting into touring cars. I have everything sorted out except for which charger to get. If I get the Millenium charger do I need the N-Power thing? What about the Ionic charger or the DuraTrax IntelliPeak AC/DC Digital Pulse Charger? What does the DuraTrax compact switching power supply do? I'm totally confused and any help would be apreciated.

If you get a Millenium you need a DC power supply. The N power, and Duratrax Compact power supply are both DC power supplies. I believe the Ionic is being released in 2 versions, one with a power supply and one without. If you get the one without, you need a DC power supply. The Intellipeaks all come with the Duratrax compact power supply, except for the cheapest one, it has a differect, non-removable power supply.

Edit: A DC Power supply converts AC Power to Dc power so the charger can use it. A charger cant use AC power, only DC.

I ran my Novak Rhino(discontinued) off of a Car battery charger. It supplied 12V of 10Amp power. Not sure if this was the wise thing to do for my equipment but it worked and never gave me any problems.
