Tower Hobbies sells a Trinity Brush Cutting Tool (SC2801) for $11.99 but there are no pictures. I also cannot find it in the Trinity web page. Does anyone have one and can tell me what it looks like? Is this a legitimate tool, or can I do the same thing with a $3 carbide tipped center punch?

Which brush serrating tools, drilling tools or cutting tools are gimmicks and which are worth picking up? I am using Reedy 767 brushes on P2K stock motors.

Thanks, MJ

Yeah, trinity's website is great for finding stuff isn't it ?
Not sure about the tool you mention, but Trinity do make a thing called the Brush Factory which is a motorised serrator and slotter, and comes with a motor for about $50USD. Looks like it would be a good tool to have if you're into re-using your brushes.

I am not sure on what that tool is, but i think that the brush factory is going for about 80 bucks, it slots, grinds, serrates and X-Cuts brushes.

I doubt it’s the Brush Factory for only $11.99. What about the Brush Factory? Is it worth the bucks? I can buy a lot of pre-serrated and v-grooved brushes for $80. Are there other options out there. The last thing I need is another expensive Trinity logo specialty tool that does the same thing as a pair of Craftsman needle nose pliers.
