i was drivin my GT2 the other day and i drove through a huge puddle. I went up to the garage and dryed it off with a compressor. It seemed fine. . . I went to drive it yesterday and underneath the cooling head was spraying unused fuel all over the tranny and gears. So I took off the cooling head and the head gasket was broken in half! :huh: The top of the piston sleeve was scratched up, and so was the groove in the cooling head where the gasket goes. The thing is, I don't know what size this gasket is, (Associated .15x P/S) and I'm stumped to find out what it is! Also, I was trying to take the motor off to clean the unused fuel off of everywhere, and I got the manifold screw half way off, and it wouldnt turn anymore, in or out... so now its stuck half way out?!!
can anyone tell me which size gasket to get...
I was thinking the "Tower Hobbies Heat Sink Head Gasket .15X"
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCAU9&P=7
The dimensions of that are::
Inner Diameter 14.5 mm
Outer Diameter 20.7 mm
THANKS,
Pat
