I am thinking about ordering two of these six cell packs at $25.00 ea. from Tower. Does anyone know if these are any good?
I did some research through the old posts and found some info on Radio Shack packs; unfortunately they do not have any high capacity packs on sale right now.
Also, any comments on the Futaba MC239CR ESC w/Reverse? I am switching to electric and have never had an ESC before(had an MSC a looong time ago) so I'm really in need of some feedback. Thanks! :)

Hey man... i have 6 of em timewarpers... they're decent... good run times... i just use em for drivin around... but i think your bette off buying the maxx paxx for 44 bones... you get 2 1900mah matched packs... as the timewarp 1900mah are not... so i lost out :( but oh well :D

Actually, as far as I know, they are not matched... it's just a part of the advertising that they are matched to each other to be used in the E-Maxx. My package didn't say anything about them being matched, that's for sure. And you are better off just getting three packages of Maxx Packs, for $44 each, they are the same thing as the 1900 Time Warp packs. If they were matched... I would have expected them to be in clear shrink wrap so that the numbers are visible... and the Trinity website is down now so I can't check it...

Using the stock 540 for now, and I don't ever plan on racing...not with the TL01 at least.
Any suggestions on which 20+ turn to get?

TA03 Drive Hard, I had considered that controller but the only thing is I plan on driving this car around only for fun so I'll be needing something with reverse.
Oh yeah, how often do you discharge your Maxx Paxx? I'm totally lost when it comes to electric. The last time I had an electric car was about 9 years ago!

the cheaper futaba esc is pretty good if you dont mind the 20T limit on it. I have one and it works great and its small. I have been running a 19T speed gem on a pede without a problem. I think its a good ESC and I would put a 19T mod motor on it anyday.

Yeah, I looked ALL the ESCs, then broke it down to ESCs under $50 and w/Reverse. The Futaba looked like the best bet, and like Jon said, the only real concen is the 20+ turn limit. Today I ordered the Maxx Paxx and the Futaba ESC. I'll stick to the stock 540 until I get used to driving electric.
Guys, thanks for ALL the help. Even after reading all the previous posts, it was your feedback that helped me finalize my order. This forum rocks, and you guys ROCK! :)
