View Full Version : Sparky Motor, is smthng wrong?

i have a tamiya kingblackfoot (run about 20 packs)and i jus installed an esc, and when i was setting the controls on the esc i noticed that whenever the motor changes directions it sparks, is this normal? im not sure, but i never noticed it berfore...

There should be sparks aroung the commutator and the brushes...be more descriptive just to make certain your car works properly. :)

A motor will always spark when you switch from forward to reverse. I would suggest waiting until the motor/truck stop moving forward before applying reverse to make the motor last a little longer, but I know everyone doesn't always want to drive with that much caution. :D
