Wich Bateries give the best power for stock motors, and that can last a race. 1700 mah?
And also wich motor is best?
Peak, GM, Trinity and more ????

Usually for a stock on-road racing you want to look for high voltage more than run-time. Just make sure it has enough run to finish a main... if it's a 5 minute main, then make sure you can finish 5 minutes and you're set =). Voltage matters in stock more than mod.

Yeah i know that's why im looking for the best batteries. For run time i can use 2400 mah or the new Panasonic Stock Metal Hybrid 3000 mah bateries. They are great in stock but too expensive. So i would like to know if eny one can tell me wich bateries have the most Voltage?

You're gonna get different opinions on this, but I'm convinced that NiCds(like 2400s, 2000s or 1700s) are better suited for stock than the SMH NiMh 3000s, even though the pure numbers might indicate otherwise. It seems that NiCds still have the edge in lower internal resistance, which is important in stock racing(just as important as voltage). As for which NiCds have the best voltage, it's hard to say, all have had excellent voltage, but there are more 2400s produced right now, so you may have the easiest time finding high voltage ones at the moment(to my knowledge, 2000s are being phased out, so they won't be made anymore, & that may also be true of 1700s). Now the argument some will give you about Stock Metal Hydrides(SMHs) is that because of their capacity, they can have more voltage at the end of a race, but it seems that NiCds still have enough of an edge at the beginning of one to make up for it..... :)

With 2wd buggy and truck off-road, well cared for 1700's will finish the race just fine. Time to spare. If you're just getting into racing you may be better off buying 3-4 1700 packs versus 2 good 2400's. I got by all spring and summer on 3 cheap 1700's. Now that my driving is improved I can appreciate the Reedy Zapper 2000's I just got. If you're consistently running a whole race without any turn marshall assistance than you can appreciate the extra voltage of some good 2400's. The smh 3000's must have good voltage now, too. The guys at the local carpet oval are using them in stock now, and those guys are all about horsepower.

i'm with Grizz on this one... i still feel that the Ni-cads give more "punch" than even the new ni-mh cells.... and stock racing is all about punch... i prefer using the new 2400's for stock racing... i only use ni-mh cells in mod....
as far as motors go....
we will have to wait on the P-2-K-2 for a month or so.... but out of the current crop...
Trinity P-2-k- is my favorate.... works really well about anywhere...
Trinity GM-3- i had great results with the one's i had bought last year, BUT... many people (including myself) have had problems with these motors going up in smoke with the recent batches... i'm staying away from these for a while...
Orion Chrome Stock- The motor i prefer for stock truck off-road racing... good torque, decent rpm's... and can stand being geared to the moon and back...
Reedy MVP- i have bought a couple, but both of them ran WAY too hot and had zero low end punch... some people have good success with them, but i sure haven't.... i avoid them like the plague...
peace out..... :)

On the matching equipment, a Stock Metal Panasonic will outperform any cell available. The new HV Sanyos are looking very strong as well.
The best 2400's I ever had were ~1.138 av/V and around 22-23 Actual IR(120 relative IR). All of my Panasonic are equal to that voltage, with an IR of 20-22 Actual IR(95-105 relative IR). The added runtime also means that the voltage stays higher throughout the run. It is really no contest. I had some concerns when the new Pana's came out, but once I saw them on the machine, saw the graph, It was plain to see. More runtime, great voltage, super low IR.
I ran them in stock for the first time at the Speedway Spectacular race at the Daytona Int'l Speedway. I TQ'ed stock sedan on 3k's. I decided to run one of my good 24's in the main. I pulled a pretty decent lead, but with a couple minutes to go, Scott Meeks reeled me in. My car was much better than his, but he was running 3k's. I blocked his line for half a lap and just barely squeeked in the win. Proof enough for me when I looked at the laptimes on the printout.
At the On-road Nat's in sedan, every car in the main was equipped with the new Panasonic's.
Enjoy... (I won't be able to respond, since I am going to the Endless Summer in the morning, so don't think the lack of a response signifies that I think your response to this is correct :)

Fore som info. I have been racing Mod for about a year now, an d just participated in my first stock race this Sunday. It was great, i boroved som GMVIS 2400 mah batteries, and used a Peak Spitfire 27T motor. This gave me a decent speed but i could not Match the Ready Engine another person had. But i won all three finals. And after that i thought of racing more stock. So my problem si to get good bateries and motors since i live in Norway. Ive been looking at difrent hobby shops. But i cant get en clue to wich batery is best. Trinity, Ready Zappers (heard a lot about these). And other batteries. I can get a hold of Corally bateries, are they eny good. Im mainly looking for 1700 and 2000mah. But good 2400 mah are not to forget.
Iv'e decided to buy a Trinity P2K Pro and a Trinity Green Machine 3.
