I had that problem where my pins would start chewing up my hubs every couple weeks. My kit (Ultima RB) came with pins that I thought were kinda short for the wheels (Pro-line associated type). So I made some new one with my dremel. I needed some stiff pin material so i used the wire on some large binder clips. I shaved all around until the fit snugly in the axles then cut them to perfect size for the wheels. No problems yet.
