I'm getting ready to purchase a 1/12 gas boat.I would like to get a procraft or aquacraft hydro.
I have been told that the hydros' have a fin on one side or the other that gives them better turning in one direction,But not allowing good performance turning both ways.
is this correct?

yup. most hydros are set up for right hand turns. having the fin assists the boat in sticking to the turn while at full speed.

The Miss Vegas is the much better boat of the two. About 6 MPH faster out of the box and easier to upgrade down the road.
As far as turns fins go, the stock turn fins aren't all that good. If you want to make left turns safer than what they do stock, Aquacraft offers the Grimracer turn fin that you can order as an aftermarket option.
If you're going to be ordering a Miss Vegas, make sure that you get the recently upgraded version as a lot of the issues that the original had have been fixed.
