help, I am pretty new to this. I have a dynamite mega 1 timed charger. I have been getting really short run times and I have tried hooking up a voltmeter to it, and measureing the charge that way, but it doesnt seem to work. I am looking for a peak charger, somewhere between 60-75 dollars. if you have a peak charger, and you are happy with it, plz recomend it. thanx a lot. :D

no, it's definatly not my cells, I went to my local track, and I had the guy charge it with his peak charger and it added like 3 minutes to my run time.

That charger is certainly not giving you all you can get out of your car/batteries. The Novak Rhino is a great choice, but you should probably get something like the Duratrax chargers because they're designed to handle the newest batteries as well as the old kind.

I use two Rhinos and they work great, but aren't made top charge 3000s. If you're gonna get NiMH batteries (3000s), get something else. I highly recommend you get a Novak Ionic, but it won't be out until next month.

ok, how much is this Ionic charger, and does it need that special DC power supply like the millenium does?

Try grabbing one of the Duratrax intellipeak chargers (either the mini, deluxe or digital). They're inexpensive and everyone I know of who has them likes them, except Isky, who says they make his cells too hot :) but he may still like the charger just not the temperature. Anyway, the point is, the vast majority of people who use them recommend them to others. (Isky, not trying to speak for you, but I saw your comment on them and thought I would attempt to represent both sides of the story)

I don't think so. Mine has AC/DC input and I think the other models do as well. Check the Duratrax (http://www.duratrax.com) site for more info.

thats all right Digex...I just found out that most of my cells in my trinity Sanyo 3000mah batteries are duds...they peak charge in 19 minutes and they are hot by then...I think its trinitys wrong doing, but when you cough up 65 bones for these...not to mention being someone my age(14) its hard to replace these batteries. Very hard...I had to do a paper route for over a year in order to buy my car, and now i have scolioses. Weird thing is that I developed it, even though my back was perfect...now my back always hurts(spine off by 15 degrees, may have to go in for surgery). Driving my car was never fun, and with the scolioses(spelling) I have never had any fun with my T3FT...Although the Duratrax Intellipeak chargers are excellent...I bet the reason my batteries got warm was because of the bad cells...buy it! Don't let my little problems stop ya from buying one! :)

Get the Deluxe Pulse instead of Mini Pulse, Deluxe is much better. It only costs you $10.00 more.

lol digex... does everyone know Isky that much here!?!?! Digex is right... pick a Duratrax Intellipeak charger... they're very excellent, i have the deluxe model... you can charger & discharge batteries; maximum charge rate is 6.5 amps!!!! and you can either charge NiCd or NiMH cells... also, when discharging you have the option of using 2amp discharge or 10amp discharge

also the deluxe model cost about 80 bones...
:D

I have heard nothing but good things about the Intellipeak charger. But I would NOT use it for NiMHs! Only linear charging should be used on NiMHs. Isky, this could definitely be the reason for your troubles with your 3000s.

FYI, the Novak Ionic charger can handle AC or DC input, so it doesn't need a power supply.

We just guess the Ionic will be a good charger because we feel Novak makes good product, but in fact no one has the experience with that charger. The reason why Ionic be so good, because most people are loyal brand buyer.

The main reason I'd buy the ionic is because its like the millenium but with AC/DC power inputs, which is a major step for Novak.

I use the Vision Peak from Dynomite, and I've never had a problem with it. I've charged pack after pack, and it never got hot. About forty bucks.

I'd steer clear of the MRC Super Brain 819 though. A friend and I both had those chargers, and both of them heated up really bad and smoked. Worse, they were under warranty, and though MRC said they fixed the problem, they didn't. It looked as though they only put a piece of mesh tape around a few of the wires. The things still didn't work, and we waited for about four to five weeks for them to be sent to us.
