Is my stock motor legal??

I have a P2K pro in my XXX-T. Last night I took the bearings out of my speedgems 2 motor and put it in my P2K. It works great! but im not sure if it's legal to race with it?

I have a XXXT and i replaced all of my stockers with bearings since i race in stock class and its legal at my local track.

What's the point anyway? Why don't we get to have ball bearings in stock motors legally, too?

One simple reason....cost. Bushings are quite a bit cheaper than bearings, & that keeps the MSRP of a stock motor within legal limits. That's the biggest reason they still use bushings..... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't see why bearings in a stock motor would be ilegal to ROAR. Well maybe i just don't understand the whole ROAR thing. I say check with the track owner.

he he. Oh yeah, they'll care if you start winning. It would be so easy for them to tell, too. All they have to do is look at the end bell and you can tell right away there's bearings in there!

Also, i have had a friend do this, we both were running P2K's in our rustlers, he snagged some bearings from his other mod, and jammed them in, it WAS not so noticeable til we let off the gas, also, it was a ton quieter, so, you will be caught, i am pretty sure of that, and do not win so hard that people complain. just stick to the bushings, though i would love to see ROAR make it legal, it is just they have to keep the price down, that is the point of stock racing, so, .........ya

I think I'm going to keep bushings in my race motor but keep'em in my practice motor's.
