**O.S. ENGINES SPEED TUNED .21 VZ-B V-SPEC ENGINE

This engine has a real edge!

The engine that powered Mark Pavidis to victory in the IFMAR 1/8 Scale Buggy World Championships! Special factory tuning transforms the .21 VZ-B V-Spec into a secret weapon.

• A first for model engines, the magnesium heat sink head weighs 15% less than aluminum and runs cooler, too.

• The specially coated crankshaft features a precision ceramic bearing that greatly reduces friction, plus a Tungsten weight for added balance.

• Developed specifically for this engine and available separately, the T-2060 SC WN tuned silencer (OSMG2938) utilizes a welded-on pressure nipple.

• A double adjustment carb allows for ultra-fine tuning for demanding race conditions.

• Displacement: 0.211 cu in (3.46 cc) • Bore: 0.653 in (16.6 mm) • Stroke: 0.582 in (16.0 mm) • Practical rpm range: 3000-40,000 • Output: 2.5 ps @ 34,000 rpm • Weight: 11.3 oz (320.5 g)

OSMG2081 Speed Tuned .21 VZ-B V-Spec Street:$549.99

OSMG2938 T-2060 SC WN Tuned Set Street:$144.99

IN STOCK: Mid-February

anyone have pictures of this epoxy smothed crank? i have also read that there is no advantage of having a magnesium head as it does not dissipate heat as efficiently as aluminum. lighter by 15%? i have an osrocket head on my vzb thats lighter than stock and drops my temps much lower then the original blue head. i guess what i am trying to say is why doesnt O.S offer a modded engine like this with a machined aluminum head like the ones offered by aftermarket companies. i am in the market for a new engine for the upcomming season. it will be this or the jp mod version.

Ive heard from pros (I race with and know some) that nothing can catch it. Even other Modded engines.

its true. the other (blue-headed) versions pushed 3HP stock and i imagine that this tops it. this engine will be dominant in all buggy racing, especially with the good bearings and other features.

the ticket is the slugged crank, allows much better power up top.

if they are claiming to be the first ones in the industry to use it, how can you or anyone else make that argument?

not trying to pick a fight, just wondering.

Because the OS engine is older than the ninja. Ninja copied OS

I haven't look it up but material science is enough to say that the Aluminum disipates heat better than Magnesium.

Yes what you say is true, and also magnesium is more fragile, so it will break faster! But maybe this is an alloy woth another material and can disipates heat faster. It is not pure magnesium in my opinion always

You are probable right, it must be an alloy since it will be cheaper also.

Here's one if still available. Sorry I was off by ten bucks on this one.

Here's the one for $440.00... Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

You can also find them on Ebay in the $450.00 range. There's two on there now, but they come with the 2060 sc wn pipe so the seller wants $580.00, he's been selling without the pipe for $450.00 for the past few weeks...
There out there, just have to look around a little.
