Which Stock Motor and Pinion??

Ok Right now I have the P2K and Paradox. They are both pro versions. I want another motor that is similar but I dont want to get another P2K or paradox. I am thinking of a Fantom motor. Are these really good. Any advice would be apreciated. Also right now I run losi gears. I have heard peopl saying BK gears or Robinson racing gears are better in a wat that they acclerate faster or lats longer or something like that. Is this true? Will I really be able to tell a difference.

hey hey LM, firstly, the P2K is awesome, but after a little while of hard running, the magnets get weak, and you can only rebuild so many times, so, i say get another P2K, the paradox, as you know, is a great motor, but why not go better when you can. If your track is tight, then get another P2K, if it is very "open" in your opinion, then go with a GM3, or a Chrome(Team Orion) which are both high RPM motors, get them. ummm, as for gearing, i run 23 pinion, with an 82 spur, but, actually, at this particular moment, i am at 22/82, so, it is your choice whichever is faster. I am actually going to get a chrome really soon, and i will probably do a write up on the BB when i am done with it, or after a race day.

CRAP, forgot the whole pinion thing, umm, i run the losi, because they run the quietest, and they seem to be lasting, but, as you know, all will eventually wear, if no losi, then i would get the Trinity Kinwald hard ones, they are also very quiet, but less of a contact patch makes me a little nervous, robinsons last a long time, but they do not give me the type of sound i like from my car

Hey Thanks Right now I am running a 22/82 and am thinking of changing to a 23/82! How will I know if the magnets get weak. They seem to be powerful but how can I tell? Is the Fantom motor a good motor though, I havent heard anything about that motor from u guys yet? I have heard it is close to a P2K but built with better quality and has a little mor RPM. Is this true?

FYI,

The Orion Chrome RS is going to be another high torque motor rather than a high RPM one such as the GM3 or the Rage.

Another question to take into account would be the type of vehicle you are running it in. Is it a truck or a buggy. The GM3 seems to work well in the truck for me, our track is fairly open, and not too twisty. If you are going to require a ton of torque, go with the Chrome or P2k.

I run a xxx with a atom Speedo and JR radio equiptment. MY Q is is HOW GOOD ARE THE FANTOM MOTORS!!!? NOBODY HAS ANSWERED THAT YET. MY TRACK IS FARELY TIGHT AND I HEARD THE FANTOM MOTOR HAS QUITE A BIT OF TORQU LIKE THE P2K

the fantom motor you are talkin about is a fantom p2k. It is a p2k motor tuned and re-labled by fantom. it will have alot of torque. Fantom will soon have a tuned version of the gm3.

oh yeah, i run 24/82 in my xxx it's realy fast! i usualy lower it to 22 0r 23 for racing.

Sorry i have not replied, my ISP was down for 2 days, the Fantoms are relabeled motors, jsut to confirm that, and as for the magnet thing, you will no what i am talking about, when it happens, of you take out your motor, and spin the armerature, and it spins alot or makes a "chatter" type noise, then they are going.
