View Full Version : Where can a guy go to get batteries that aren't sold out?

Now that I'm more active in racing RC's I have recently upgraded my arsenal with a ICE charger, Trinity DPD discharger, Novak Smart Tray and an Integy 36 amp power supply. (Sold some of my actual car racing equipment since I am retired from that so got some extra play money)

Now I'm trying to find some good batteries to buy but it seems like battery builders are either slow to build them or only run limited quantities at a time.

At the moment I am trying to find EP4200 cells in a 6 cell side x side. I'm leaning towards these due to the stories I have heard about IB4200's venting pretty bad lately. If push comes to shove I will go for IB's but the Ep's are pretty nice on price and have pretty good reviews.

So can anyone direct me to good battery dealers that actually have stock?

So far I have tried:
Pro-Match
Fusion
BoomBoom Batteries
Team Brood
Slingshot Batteries

At the moment I am just doing club racing so although top of the line super matched batteries would be nice I'm trying to stay with 3 assembled packs of 4200's for around $125 - $150 from a dependable source.

Nope but I will go take a look there.

What are people's impressions right now of the IB4200's? I know they are a good battery but I am worried about quality issues.

I'm also looking for cells in stock and I spoke today with SPC Racing (http://www.spcracing.com). They told me they are currently grading a new batch of cells, should be ready in a couple of days.
