Thansk , guys. I tell ya, the last few bodies I have done, I am really digging this realistic stuff. The bug, Sldiewayz, the F-150,...I'm on a scale kick,...and I love it!

My brain knew it was a model, but my eyes continued to be fooled into believing it's the real thing. Kudos to ZMan and kudos to Tamiya for first-rate scale RC.
Not much else can improve on that realism.. 'cept maybe some micro splatters of dried dirt where the wheelwells and rocker panels meet.. and maybe a vehicle sticker decal applied to the lower driver's side windshield.
...Oh yeah.. and maybe a collection of bumper stickers in the back calling for the legalization of certain substances. ;)
Just say "No" kids. :teacher:

So... you sanded the body, right? Couldn't you have filled the holes with epoxy before you sanded and primed? Then you could have mounted with Velcro.

no biggie,.....people, including myself, always think its poly because of the awesome detail Tamiya does in their bodies.

I'm gonna need to see another photo with a hiking boot next to it before I'll believe it's a Tamiya and not a fullsized bug with some homemade body posts and body pins made out of cardboard tube, bendy wire, painted black and taped on.
So... go get the camera.

Its a shame they come with the body post holes. Ya see I have an old high school teacher that I keep in touch with. He's got an old bug in "show" condition that he drives everyday. As nice as that looks, I'm sure he would be choked-up if I showed up with one. I don't think he would care to much for the rc part of it though.
Nice job Z-Man ;)
RON THE KIDS SAID ITS HOTTTTTTTTTTT

lol, yup. Just a basic kit, i just gave it a few "tweeks". The owner is an avid VW guy, so it will go to car shows to be paraded/drove around when there is a break.
