Motor Brushes! HELP!

I have a Fantom Pro-turned 16 turn triple,
how do i take the brushes out of the endbell, and how do i tell how far they go back in?

Remove the springs and pull ... I guess.

When you put them in they will go until they stop. Then put the spring back on.

Unless I am misunderstanding your question, all of this should be pretty obvious.

Well, It's actually pretty simple. First take a look at the springs to make shure that they are both the same color & type. If different make a note on which one goes on the +, & - sides. Then carefully remove one of the springs. The brush should then slide out fairly easy. If it don't come out easy, you'll have to pull it by the shunt wire. As far as how far it goes in, it goes all the way in till it rides on the commutator...the round copper thing on the armature. Let us know if you need any more help. ;) Joe
