I just bought one! Basically you get a lot of titianium parts, blue anodized parts, a graphite chassis, threaded shocks, etc. It is something like over $200 in Hop-ups. You'll need to buy your own tires, wheels, body, and of course electronics. ;)

Scuba Steve,

Theres alot of blue hop-ups but some of them only look good (Personally I don't use them but when it comes to racing, I need to show off).

The main Hop-ups for Speed are-

-Factory team Blue TC3 Blue CVD bones #3888
-Factory team Conterifet Transponder #3968
-FT Lightweight Main Drive Shaft #3925
-FT Blue Outdrives ( I don't remember the stock
number)
and the -Steering rack Bearings for Quick Turning ability at turns.

Some Blue parts just add weight-
Never get the Blue Screw Kit, the regular screws last longer and do not strip as easily as the stock screws.

When e-mail me back for more questions-

Bill Easton

and other usless aluminum parts would be the aluminum battery bar. Steve also told me that the sotck and factory motor clamps do nothing but make the motor hotter, but the Big Motor heat sink really helps to cool it down

hope i may have helped, it may have been a little off the sunject, but if you were looking to being really competitve and saving weight i think i may have helped.

I like my Racer TC3 with selected tuning hop-ups. It's all you need!

So the only things you get are hop ups? And does the "Racer" version come with heatsinks for the motor/batteries

It has a motor heatsink. No battery heatsink, if you're counting the AL Factory Team bar a heatsink. Plus you get the lighter composite CVD's and shocks. And you get a body and practice tires.
