I use 23/72 or 26/70 with MVP
25/72 with Orion chrome stock
the manual recommends 28/72, but I think try different setup, and depends with the motor you use, some maybe too hot to handle, driving style, battery, car setup, etc.. are factors in deciding the right gear.

Okay, I am using LRP 1.7, Reedy Ti Modified double 7 turn motor, 3000nimh Reedy cells, so AE suggested me to use 17T of pinion gear and use spur gear which it comes in TC3 kit box. All of those is going to run to top of speed. I wish I have radar gun. Good Luck.

A peak Spitfire is an Orion Chrome, and balapan is dead on. On the same type of track, I run a 25/72 with Orion chrome stock.
