Changing Radios?

I have the stock radio in my XTM Mammoth(Hitec Radio & Receiver) and I want to put my radio from my electric Rustler in it (I also have that receiver), can I do this and if so how?

I dont see a problem with it. It should drop right in. The only difference will be that the slot for the esc will have the throttle servo in it. :cool:

I am having trouble understanding your post. If you move both the transmitter and receiver from one car to another, it should work. If you did that, either the transmitter or receiver is not getting power. :cool:

Both are getting power, but the Traxxas radio won't work with my Mammoth. I guess it doesn't matter much.

are you using the same crystals in the transmitter and receiver?

if you are using the traxxas receiver with the traxxas radio with the same crystals and it is getting power, and given that it worked in the rusty, there must be an electronics problem. Maybe someone else can help. :cool:

I don't care that much, I just liked the feel of the controller more. It probably will not make a difference in anything other than that.

Make sure they are both the same frequency (27 or 75), and are both on either AM or FM. Then there should be no reason they won't work.

How do you change the frequency and AM/FM? The Traxxas is 27 and Xtm 75.
