Hi,

I have 2 older model battery chargers(Protec Super Charger, and a Leisure Electronics) and I'm wondering if they'll do a good job charging the higher Mah batteries. I know they can charge 1400's pretty good, but how about anything higher? I just bought a 2000Mah and a 1700Mah Hump. How would I charge these? Just use the 15 minute timer and when it's done, do 15 more??? How about discharge? Just set it to 15 minutes and that's it? Your answers would be appreciated! Thanks!

Not all chargers can charge NiMh batteries. You said you already ordered a charger, but I just thought I'd put in that I bought an MRC Super Brain (the original) for my first peak charger and the thing stopped working in less than 6 months. Then I splurged and got a Tekin Power Flex charger...WOW! This thing is great. My packs last MUCH longer and the car runs like it has lower turn motor in it!

My friend Scott has the Piranha charger and he hasn't mentioned any problems.

Maybe you just got a bad one.

FYI that charger is the exact same one that Tower used to sell under the Hobbico name plate, the just swapped name plates. So that charger has been around for over ten years, and I have yet to hear anymore than usual problems with it.

You really shouldn't call something junk just because you have had a bad experience.

Maybe it was "operator error"?
