I had an interesting experience a couple years back and just thought i would share it with you. Some of you might know where this is if you live by me, by Colfax in northern California. Just ask me where exactly it is and ill tell you. Don't read the second paragraph untill you read the first one.

My dad used to be a fireman and he has told me a bunch of stories. My favorite one happened only a couple miles from our house. I didn't hear it untill after all this story is done though. I wasn't old enough to remember this though. My parents were watching a motorcycle thief run from the cops. They could see it coming to our house on the tv and looked outside and saw them go by. They were hauling and we live in the country roads. So a couple minutes later my dad gets a call about a motorcycle crash with a injured person just down the road. So he goes there and there is a cop car off in a ditch and a dirtbike laying around. It wasn't the same motorcycle that was running from the cops. My dad said where's the injured person? And one of the other fireman pointed to under the cop car. My dad thought that he was dead. He wasn't though. I think that my dad said that he had his legs up so his feet were at his head. They got him out and airlifted him out to a hospital. My dad didn't think he was going to live. You might be wondering if this has anything to do with rc right?

Then about 2 years ago i was getting my first notro car a T-Maxx at the hobby shop. The guy helping my dad and i asked where i live and i said around Colfax. He asked me if i knew one of my teachers and some stuff about the area because he was from there. Then my dad saw that he had trouble getting the box down from the high shelf and he couldn't really lift his arm that good. So my dad asked what his name was. He told my dad his name and my dad said "The last time i saw you, you were under a police car." The person who was helping us was the guy under the car that i said before. He was in shock. And the whole time i had no clue what my dad was talking about. So now i know the guy and i go to the hobby shop all the time. It is pretty cool i think. I just wanted to share that with you. If anyone else has any stories then feel free to share them.

Life tends to come full circle doesn't it. Funny how that works. My question is....was it the same guy that the cops were chasing down the road, or a different guy? Was it just some guy out riding in the woods that got caught up in it, or the guy on the run? Good story though! And it even related to RC!

The guy that was running from the cops got caught a little bit later. I forgot a part too. The cop was going so fast that he hit the guy on a dirtbike riding out of a dirt road. The dirt bike one was just riding and he stopped for the other cops. He thought everyone went bye and pulled out but there was one cop going way to fast even for a cop and hit the dirt bike guy. So the dirt bike one was not the guy they were chasing. And it really seems like a small world when that kind of stuff happens.

He didn't. He recognized his name. My dad asked for his name at the hobby shop and realized that it was the same guy that was under the police car. He got hints from him not being able to lift his arm that much and him asking about the area where we live.

I would imagine if that is the case that he wasn't the guy they were chasing, he wasn't just working at the hobby shop you went to, he is probably the owner!!$$$

I just meant from a lawsuit standpoint, he probably came away with a good settlement for his injuries. Not that any amount of money makes up for being physically impared the rest of your life, but it sure can soften the blow a little bit. At least he is able to do something he loves!

the cool part is that you are lucky enough to have an observant father.i am sure more people would have cool experiences if they just paid attention.not flaming anyone, just a compliment.

Reminds of one my experiences (not related to RC at all). I was in college and has just finished an EMT course. I got a job with a local very rural EMS service. My first of orientation was a snowy yucky day. We didn't get single call all day until 4:30 or so. It was my first real call ever. I was sooo nervous and the adrenaline was pumping. The call came in as a car had rolled over in a ditch. We got to the scene and the fd was already though and told us the only victim was alert and still sitting in the front seat. I grabbed the back board, c-collar and head blocks. I starting walking down the 15-20 foot enbankment. All of a sudden I hear someone call out my name. I looked up it was the senior girl who lived across the hall from me my freshman year. She was crying in the front seat of the car. She instantly recognized me even though I had not seen or talked to her in almost 3 years. That took me by surprise for sure! My first call ever!

Anyway, she ended being okay just bumps and bruises.

I get freaky coincidences like that all the time (again not even remotly related to RC). Probably the most recent experience I had was when I went to see a movie with my gf at the time aty her place which is about 2 hours drive from where I live. Well I got to the movies and we were picking what we wanted to see (ended up compramising on willi wonka and the chocolate factory, the new one, such a weird move, definatly on acid when they made it) and standing in line in front of me was one of myu tutors from the university where I live... Of all the cinemas in the world and allthe times he had to go he had to goto the same one as me and watch the same movie and at the same time... That just freaked me out... What was even worse was the tutor recognised me and from then on my gf thinks I'm a teachers pet :D...

Such a small world!!!

This is really odd but true,
This summer my mother needed a new car, i found a OLD add in my kids bathroom of one like she wanted. we called an they had the car at the store still so we went to look at it. She loved the car blah blah and in the process of doing the papers, My father who is in his late 60's discovered he and this man had went to highschool together an grew up a few blocks apart. Upon further chat my mother knew his sister and I knew his mother from my younger years hanging out with MY grandmother at Son of Italy events. Whats makes this really weird is we bought the car 300 miles from the city this all took place in.

My only good one, and of course, not rc related, is pretty cool. I was with my family (mom, dad, and bro) in Cabo, Mexico. We were in a pretty rockin' bar in Cabo called "El Squid Row", which is a blast if you ever in Cabo! There are literally a 1000 people in this place dancing, drinking, and partying. My brother and I are walking through the bar headed for the lady with the Jello shots, and all of the sudden our babysitter that we had growing up walks right past us, and we all stop and just freak out! She was a cool girl (I think she was like 16 when we were about 5-6). We ended up partying the rest of the night with our babysitter in Cabo, Mexico. All this, and we are from Oregon! Pretty cool, and as someone said, SMALL WORLD! Good stories folks!
