Check your center... try pushing it towards the endbell and turning, then pulling it toward the can and turning. It if frees up, it's a centering problem. If that doesn't help, check where the wire loops up near the comm... if you hit one while turning it, you could have bent it. That would cause all sorts of problems... Good luck, I know a problem like this makes you pull hair...

ok, i tried moving it up and down while using a dremel to turn it, and the dremel could hardly turn it on low... i dont know i dont think its the comm this time. maybe i screwed something up below it like the copper wires... i dont know. Im thinking of just buying a new armiture for my motor and saying the heck with it. because i have had three threads going on about my motor, first one on cutting, the second what it was doing after cutting, and now it just wont move all together!!! its just rediculous.

any ways... i shouldnt have made this threade i dont think there is any hope for my armature...

You are HOPELESS !! :p

OK, just a few quickies ...

1) Be sure there is no copper between the comm segments and that the slots are clean and straight (i drag the back side of a #11 exacto blade between the segment to clean them up)
2) You have SOMETHING between the arm and the magnets ... remove the arm entirely and look for debris
3) you bushings have lost alignment and are not "pointed" at each other. There are a few ways to fix this. None of them are very pretty. What I sometimes do is get an old arm and use it as a battering ram and jam that dang bushing in there tight into the bushing well.
4) Peer through the brush hoods (with out the brush in there !) when the endbell is on and the arm is in. Do you ONLY see comm ? If not your arm is not centered. Using motor washer shim doohicky thingamajigs.
5) If it is none of these, break out your ouija board and ask the spirits what is wrong.

EDIT: Oh ya, DON'T FORGET TO OIL THE BUSHINGS !

1) i did use an x-acto blade and cleaned out the slots.

2) nothing between the arm and magnites. even droppped in a old stock arm and it ran! so its the arm

3) i took out the bushings lube them and still no go

4)straight view to the comm!

5) ouija board here i come!!! iv had so much crap with this motor that it isnt funny. depending on how much a new arm is, im going to get a 8 or 9 turn arm but if it expensive like the prices on ae's site ($35 for a armature and i paid $33 for my motor new, what-a-rip    ) ill just buy a new motor...

man,,, i thought i had just got a good grasp of cutting my comm. i cut it today. reassembled it and it wont move when throttled, it only hums really loud and smokes. It is hard to turn just by turning the armiture with my hand! i dropped in a stock amiture and it turned so there is something up with the armiture. any one have any clues? this is getting ridiculaus!
