Im sorry, but im tired of seeing all this nitro stuff in RCCA, nitro has its OWN magazine. I dont want to see nitro cars in RCCA, I DONT like nitro. And whats up with this, whenever I close the chat it goes to the Nitro website. ***. At least change that! but. And why should nitro have a magazine and not electric? At least keep all the nitro stuff in the nitro magazine, WHERE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE.
anybody else agree with me?

Personally, I like the nitro info in RCCA. I get both of the magazines, but it's good that RCCA stays rounded for the new people who pick it up and want to see a broad spectrum of what's available in the R/C car and truck world.

I have to agree with Car_Head on this one. I buy RCCA to look find new things for my eletric cars. Unfortunaly, when I look in the mag it seems that every advertisment and most of the articles are on nitro stuff. It wouldn't be so annoying, accept that there is a nitro RCCA too. I would like to be able to look into a mag and see what I'm looking for. I like the touring car RCCA this way, wish it was a monthly mag too! But even so, more eletric articles would be great. If the nitro people don't like it they have an entire mag for nitro, we're stuck reading the nitro stuff even if we don't want to!

ELECTRIC ALL THE WAY DUDES!!!!! MAN... i strongly agree with Car Head... i subcribe to RCCA and sometimes all i see is nitro this, nitro that, blah blah blah... whatever, anyways!!!!! we need an electric mag goin on hear... i like all those "insane speed" cars they make, cause im into speed :p plus too with all the different types of motors whether it's stock or mofidied, we have the abillty to alter our speed... gear ratios... batteries... even escs! :D just how interchangable is a nitro car!?!!!?!?!?!?!?! even thought electric cars dont have the realism of sound from a nitro engine, at least seeing them speeeeeding down the thunder dome oval track is real enough for me ;) there goes my 2 cents!

I have to agree with you guys. I'd like to see Electric R/C have it's own mag as well. I have a gas truck and I'm thinking about a gas touring car, but my main interest is Electric. I also subscrib to Nitro Mag, but never seem to get it, Hohum

I like both gas & electric. If you end up with too many mags you may end up with less info than what you get now. Many past mags have gone out because of lack of circulation. Another mag would probably be cost prohibitive, & not profitable. Just an opinion from a fellow entreprenure. :)

yeah we should get our own magazine. I am an electric only person and I think electric at some times can be harder than gas. And yes I have had gas and I didn't like it. And yes I do know what I am doing. But we should have our own magazine, it would be nice. But you know how these people are, the more the people want it the more they dont want to make it. It like they are just out to **** us off. you know what I mean :D

I posted something to that effect in DerekB's thread about the May issue of Car Action. A couple articles of Nitro is fine..but it seems like electric is turning into the minority, even though there is a dedicated Nitro magazine, now.

Unfortunately, we don't make the new products. The current trend in the industry is nitro everything. We look for electric anything and everything each month. RCCA is geared for a more rounded nitro and electric and you will never see a pure electric mag. Email Peter and tell him you want more electric!
It's all RC guys, can't we all get along. ;)

DerekB,
I didn't start it this time. :D
Everyone else,
I do NOT want an electric only mag. I want a Radio Control Car Magazine that gives an equal showing of the hobby as a hole. Equality for Electrics, Nitro, TCs, Tanks, Buggies, Radios, ESCs, Motors, Engines, and so on. I understand that Nitro is hot, pun intended, but Electric isn't exactly dead. Also I want to make it clear I know that everything in every issue is impossible.

Just to clear up any confusion the May issue has:
A first look on the XRAY (electric)
The Guiness Book Article (electric)
Micro RC Guide (electric)
Dyno Test on the Green 3 (electric)
Track test on the Losi Spec XXXT (electric)
Track test on the FT TC3 (electric)
and
for nitro
Track test on the Mugen XR
Track test on the Schumacher Big 6 (Nitro)
That's pretty much an all electric issue. If there is any particular electric "new" product we are missing please let us know.
Thanks again,
Derek

Car_head,
ANY of the more popular magazines have a lot of ADS. Company's don't advertise in a mag that doesn't have a large circulation! RCCA is THE only place that a company can advertise and reach it's target audience. You think the other magazines want to have 10 ads? Ya, right. If you want you can always try your own starting your own magazine and see how that goes. MAybe even just cover races, oh ya Competition PLus Already did that-where are they now? If I sound snappy I am, This is a tired issue.........blah, blah
:p :p   :D :D

I think RCCA is doing a fine job and thank them for giving us an awesome mag to read each month. Iv read many back issues over and over again and never get tired of them.
As for the Electric only mag.....i think that would be a bore to read even if i do race and drive electric i still like reading about all Nitro's and plan on someday getting into Nitro.
An old saying comes to mind "If it isn't broke don't fix it".
One more thing.......for the electric guy that wants a total electirc mag, doesn't RCCA basicly have every NEW electric product on the market? and there are alot of helpfull stuff? I don't mean to sound mean here but if you don't like the Nitro stuff in RCCA go to another KNOCK OFF MAG.
Once again i thank the RCCA guys for giving us such a great mag and i look forward to reading more AWESOME issues! :D
BadRacer
RCCA has done a gr8 job, but there really should be an Elec mag. cuz theres tons a' Nitro mags, but the nitros do need more help.

IMHO, now that i thin about its pretty good, because waht if a nebwie gets into by lookin at a rcca? all they would know is eletric, by havin both they can intrest all sorts of people.

I think electric rc cars should have its own mag.

ok , well sure but the idea is for electric to have its OWN mag there are plenty of things it could cover, soldering, lathes, more dynos... etc
but the admins have rejected the idea
o well maybe if enough peeps...

I think there should be an electric mag. because there is a lot that could be covered. the nitro mag. is doing well, I geuss, so why wouldn't an electric mag. And this would make rcca like the combo. mag that it is with new cars gas and ele.
It would only make sence.

Defiantly an electric car mag
Or MUCH more stuff on electrics in RCCA
I mean nitro is cool and very popular……. it has it's own mag!
But the future is electric power not primitive noisy 2-stroke semi-diesel junk
I think there should be an electric mag with far more in-depth articles…. Not just about “X’s ESC” etc but maybe more DIY stuff………making speed controllers….modifying ……………… there are endless topics to cover.
Maybe keep RCCA as the intro-newbie mag and make the electric mag HARDCORE ;) yeah ..that’s what I want
Also I have to pay 15bux for it here in Australia which really ***** *** (I don’t subscribe…)
That’s my 2dollars worth (2c US after factoring in the exchange rate ;))
