you need to have the throttle set all the way down. Don't touch the copter or any of the controls till the light stays green.

no problem, it's a very nice safety they installed in the 4 in 1 and 3 in 1 systems to prevent you from plugging it in and getting a faceful of helicopter

haha i already found a way of getting hit in the face with the blades. i was checking on the main rotor because i thought it was unbalanced and i must have bumped the controll and it hit me in the face...

would a chip (the size of a penny) on the end of the blade make the helicopter have trouble lifting?

thanks

The guy at my LHS has a blade on his heli that looks like it's been eaten by a catipillar (You know, when they eat a leaf). and it still flies well enough.

Yeah, scientifically there would be reason to say that less surface area means less air displacement thus less luft but if you cant notice it I wouldn't worry... If you're that worried about it just replace the blade I guess...

I nearly got myself in the head when I switched the transmitter off before unplugging the LiPo, the thing went spastic about 10cm from my head, luckily I jumped back and managed to switch it back on again... I never really realised how dangerous these things are, I hit my dads toe yesterday when I crashed, luckily I had the throttle off to try and dump it to miss him (obviously diddn't work)and it just grazed him rather than chopping it off!!!.
