What do you guys think of the Factory TC3? Is a good buy?

If so, what components do you reccomend? I would definatley want to have reverse. What would be a good radio, servo, reciever, motor, speed control?

I want the car to fast. Any idea how fast a car like this could go?

Thanks a ton.

I have a FT TC3 but I haven't driven it yet :D I picked up a JR XR3 radio, Novak XXL Rx, Novak Cyclone TC ESC (no reverse though) and a P2K stock motor.

All of these seem like very high quality and high performance items from what I have read but unfortunately I can't give you any info on first hand experience. There are plenty of folks here that will though :D

good luck

Try a XR2 or XR3 or a Futaba Magnum Jr FM; Lrp Runner Pro(?) has no motor motor limit and reverse; Peak Stratos and Reedy Pulse are good fast motors for cheap.

If your looking for a great car to play with and drive fast on your block, the TC3 Racer is a great value. The FT TC3 has a bucnh of racing options that won't help a lot unless you're a hardcore racer. Plus, the FT TC3 is mostly eye candy anyway just blue parts instead of black and costs twice as much.

The Factory Team edition is more than just "eye candy" (in my opinion). It's true that it comes with many things that help for racing, but It also comes with other things that are really nice! The major thing I can think of are the threaded shock bodies. I know that I'm a racer, but setting the car up with spacers just isn't accurate enough. I like to tweak everything, if I'm racing or not. The FT (and Team) also come with titanium turnbuckles, which most people would like anyhow. The FTTC3 is quite a bit more expensive than the other kits, but you're getting like over $200 worth of hop-ups for $90 or so. Can't beat that deal!

In my FTTC3 I run a Novak Cyclone TC (no reverse, but great ESC), Airtronics M8, Airtronics micro reciever, Airtronics servo, and a P2K Pro. Most any radio will work, you don't need to spend $300 to get an M8. I did because I have several cars I drive from one radio. Also, depending on how much you want reverse there are some really nice high-end ESC like the LRPv7.1 and the Cyclone TC. It all comes down to personal preference, I guess. I've always wanted the best stuff, even if I was just bashing.

Again, Thanks for all the advise... I am also a person who likes to have the best toys. So I think I will probably end up with the Factory TC3. I'm still not sure about all the electronics, but hopefully I can find some good advise on that still.

I don't think I'll ever race this car, but I still want an awesome setup...
