I'm not aware that TO makes an ESC, but you can use their (or any company's) 5-cell Nitro car receiver pack. The higher the mAh rating, the longer the pack will last (30 to 45 minutes or more).

As for the option parts, you don't NEED any of them to have fun with the car. In fact, if you can get a couple of friends to get the car everyone will have more fun if the "go crazy with options" phase is delayed as long as possible. If people think they must spend lots of dollars to have fun with it, it's more than likely they won't have fun with the hobby or the car.

As for electronics, we're all using old ESCs we've had at home, standard servos (like the $12 to $15 ones your local shop has) and old receivers. Many of use are using AM radios, some of us are using our racing radios just because we have the model memory slots open. If you don't have any of this equipment at all, we're suggesting that you look for a bundle pack like what Futaba sells: an AM radio, receiver, single standard servo and mini-sized reversing ESC for about $100. I'm sure Airtronics and JR have similar packages, just ask your local shop.

And have fun! :)
