I'm about to buy my first RC Vehicle, and I was wondering what would be a good ESC that can handle fairly hot mods (down to about 12-14 turns) and not cost me more than about 75 bucks.
BTW My first truck is going to be a Rustler, per you guys recommendations

The tekin speedstar. I have had one for about three years and never had a problem and it only costs $60. I have a 14T motor on it too.

If you want reverse I would get the Tekin Rebel or the new Futaba 330.

You definitely need to look at the Duratrax Streak at around $55 and/or the FMA Earthquake at $50. They are identical ESCs from what I can tell and both have the rating to handle modified motors.
Great value for the money!!!
