the xxx is a much easier car to drive. however from what i have heard the b3 is slightly more durable, however if you are giong to spend that much money on a race car, or race buggies in the first place you shouldnt be hitting walls left and right.
i would go xxx its alot and i mean alot easier to drive.

Tower Hobbies wont be getting any cars from Losi anymore I think. They cracked it when Horizon bought Team Losi. If Stormer and Sheldons are out of KE XXX's what does that mean? They mast have SOLD them all. haha.
The XXX arent weak. I've been racing mine for about 10months and never had a problem. The only thing I had a little trouble with was 1 of the front carries didn't have the hole drilled for the pin. I drilled that out and it fits better than the 1 that was already drilled. The KE XXX will do anyone very well.
The B3 FT is an excellent car. Any car can be hard to drive if you have it on the wrong surface...will a boat drive on asphalt? No... See? It depends on what surface you will be running the car on. The car comes with bow tie tires so its for medium packed conditions...but it drives very well on any type of dirt, and its super durable...plus, finding parts will be a breeze. In the Past Losi parts were hard to find. And now that Horizon took them over...it will be even harder. Buy whichever car you want...but what counts is how much fun you will have. Having a car with a broken suspension arm and waiting a week for a part to come in will not be fun...catch my drift? ::coughB3FTcough::

its defently worth the wait for the xxx KE.
but honestly i run my xxx without the graphite parts.
however the blue anno parts make up for the money you will spend when u break graphite stuff. which is reall just arms. i personally suggest that if u hit stuff then go with the normal arms, or buy spares.
I personaly don't like Losi because of their cheating nature...what is the chassis material used? Stiffezel...If you look closely it looks like molded graphite that has been dyed...same consistency too. What a coincidence...

I had a bad Losi experience. I would personally get a B3, although either one will work fine. Currently I have a B3 and a aluminum chassis team car.
Isky - ever notice how Stiffezel sounds very much like "stiff as h-e-double hockey sticks "? What's up with that? Is it really stiff as h-e-double hockey sticks ?

I have a FT B3 and would not trade it for anything. I liked it so much I also bought the FT T3. It has plenty of steering and the steering is not as aggressive as the xxx. It is all personal preference. I like the B3 however you may not. Go to your lhs and see if they have the xxx or the b3 and see which one you like best. For me is is definately http://www.rc10.com/gifs/intsep05.gif

Isky, I've had it with your idiotic Losi-bashing. Every time this comes up you bring up some lame excuse for a comment. Stick to what you know, however little it may be.
Both buggies are great choices. I've had AE and Losi trucks. I've loved them both, but right now I definitely prefer my XXXT to my brother's T3. Do the right thing. Go to a track and watch the cars drive and look at them in the pits, THEN decide what YOU like. Don't listen to overly-(and pointlessly-)biased pre-pubescent boys load you full of crap...

I wish I could make those kind of comments. Oh well, gotta represent.
By the way, Stiffizel and the graphite composite are two completely different materials. Trust me.
And as far as Losi part being hard to find, All of the hobby shops in my region are adequately stocked with both brands.
In any event, what does in matter if you have to wait a week? You will probably wait a week on your AE parts, as all I ever read on this BB is how you all are going to order this from there, ot that from here.
once agian....SUPPORT THE LOCAL HOBBY SHOPS AND TRACKS....Tower Hobbies does not hold races last time I checked.
See ya...

SirSpeedy, you're so true, LHS' are where it's at. When I bought my XXTCR GP a couple years back, my LHS gave me a better deal than those online jokers, plus you don't have to wait forever to get it!
Nairb, harsh, but true. ;)

Hey Speedy, is THAT why I'm not sponsored yet!? LOL! ;)
I may have been harsh, but it was well deserved IMO. Those kind of comments posted over and over is downright RUDE. I'm serious. It offends me to read such badmouthing of any company, especially when it's not deserved. Can't we all act like intelligent and mature adults? If you're not yet, pretend...

NairB, your da man!! LOL, I totally agree with your post b4. You got a e-mail from B3 Bomb yet? Thats what happened when I last wrote something about this same topic. Why do people use the stock arms over graphite for strength? Are the Graphites just lighter and a bit stiffer but brittle?
SirSpeedy

Narib-
I try not to post on topics like this, for all the above reasons.
Aussie-
I run graphite arms. I feel that they will either break, or not. Whereas a standard composite arm will fracture, and then break later. For example, yesterday I was running my 2wd and I got a little crossed up on a VERY small double, landed on the right front wheel, and the arm broke. I had put standard composite arms on it at the WinterChamps to try and make the car more forgiving on the spec tires. Why did it break? I feel it fractured earlier, and then broke when the next good impact came along.
Signal-
I would pass on the Atom for offroad. They aren't really designed for that type of punishment. The case is taped together, and he circuit board basically just sits in the case on a piece of rubber. It is a great controller, just designed for 1/12 scale. Take a look at the Cyclone.
See ya...

I will go with the cyclone or the LRP 7.1..
What does one have over the other? Now, I'm still concerned with what radio to get..I really don't need the M8 with all those features but I do like the digital aspects of the M8.. Will the CX2 be able to control my new car well? And can I upgrade the servo to a digital high speed, high torque?? Or is there a better radio set up that doesn't cost an arm and a leg....
SirSpeedy

Those two controlers are very similar, but I like the replaceable wires on the Cyclone. Both should be easily serviced by Novak or Associated if you have any trouble.
The transmitter is you choice. Try to hold each one and see if you like the feel. A quality radio will last you many years. It is really a small investment, compared to what you will spend on tires, motors, and batteries in the next couple of years.
See ya...

If you thought about getting the M8, then the Futaba 3PJS which is a little cheaper and has FM radio, and high speed servos included in one kit should be considered. If you're thinking about racing go ahead and get the equipment that works, you'll spend more in the future to get it anyway. :D

Good choice Signal, although I prefer AE either car can be a winner if you practice. I think you will find the Losi more forgiving to drive. The P2k is an excellent motor. Good mix of speed and torque. One thing you may want to do is lay down a strip of solder in the corners where the battery terminals rise up from the endbell because the copper, while very conductive, is a little on the soft side. Good luck with it :)
