LOL!
Yeah baby, I respect that !
Well, Tekin ESC's were great. They seem to be out of business, so don't get one of those.
Novak, the other big player seems to really have their **** together and are making some really nice products. The Cyclone2 is very popular and fairly small. I would have no problem recommending one of these. In fact, I have bought 3 of them in the last year or so. If you have cash (seems like it), the new LRP controllers (Quantum Competition) appear to be making some waves. They are utterly tiny, and have some nice features, like changeable wires (finally). There are some hard to find, and expensive alternatives like controllers from KO. I hear they are sweet as heck and one version comes with a little programmer gizmo.
But, in the end, you will probably not notice much, if any, performance difference between any of the high end controllers. So, it may just come down to price/availabilty for you, in which case the Novak Cyclone2 wins flat out.
As far as motors go, if you are new and want to compete, get a stock motor from any of the big mnotor makers (Reedy, Trinity, Orion, Peak ... there are many others). If you want to just flail around in the street (what I do mostly), get a budget high turn mod, such as the "Speed Gems" series from Trinity. The Ruby, a 16 turn motor, would be a good start. They have quite the selection of Speed Gems motors, and they are all dirt cheap and a pretty good value. Another good budget mod motor maker is Integy (http://www.integy.com). They have some machine wound mods that are nice (I ended up with one, but that is a long story :) ).

Wow, did I just write all that ?
Well, I hope I kinda answered your question !

The pro 3 is just a little sluggish in the acceleration department with stock motors. I am having good results with a P2K Pro.

I have a LRP 7.1 in my pro 3, and in my wifes pro 3 there is a futaba mr330cr. Her car is almost as fast as mine, the only reason it is not is I have more hop ups on my car.
