can anyone tell me how the pro3 compares to the factory team tc3? this would help a lot in my decision of which car to buy.

Get Both, you have just started a good arguement. I have seen this same question asked many times and it never turns out good. Me myself I love my Tc3 and thats what I would suggest you get. But give it a couple of days and you will have somebody with Pro3 or Pro 2 or something else telling you that I am wrong, or that shaft drive has nothing on belt drive. But I will tell you that Shaft drive is more efficient and you have better Acceleration, and Top Speed. But with me saying that somebody will say I am wrong like always. The best thing for you to do is just decide for yourself what you want and what you would prefer. And I have heard a thousan time that the TC3 is so fragile you cant drive it with out breaking a part. Well look at how it was designed, it was designed to go fast, not smash into walls and drive off of buildings and survive. I have had mine for a while and I have only broken one arm. Other than that I haven't had any trouble out of it. And the instructions are great. Very Easy Assembly. But I am sure some one will say I am wrong like always. So for all you guys that think I am wrong say it and prove my point once and for all. And man just get what you want, and dont listen to anybody (unless they are like Hara or Mark Pavidas or Billy Easton, or somebody like Mike Reedy).

I finally have my Factory Team TC3 set up (motor brush/spring troubles!), and can say that it the smoothest drivetrain I have ever driven.
The distance it coasts made me think my brakes weren't working! Thank god for Adjustable drag brake!
As for the Pro 3, I'm sure once all the problems are ironed out it will compete well with all top class tourers. But remember the Pro 3 will have you spending on graphite parts and all the usual Hop-ups, that come with the Factory team TC3. ;)

Go with what you like. The Factory Team is much cooler out of the box with all the stuff it has. The Pro 3 is new and has potential.

I cant say that I have driven the Pro3 yet. But if it is like the Pro 2 in handling, it will be pretty good. I still prefer my TC3 over any car I have. I own a Pro 2 and my Tc3 is so much better than it. And its not because I intentionaly make it better. When I first got my Pro2 it was the only thing on my mind. The TC3 has become that way. But choose what you think is best and what would best suit your needs. :)

I'd go with the TC3... although i dont have one yet... i do plan on getting one... it's a bit pricey but hey... it has all the Factory Team hop-ups in it... but i seen more hop-ups for it... unlike the Pro 3, it's not all that pricey but it has hop-up potential which means you'd be adding more for your buck either way...

as for the fragile issue, I see its not a big thing in this post thread, but I have my TC3 Team kit still stock, no hopups and I had a rough time dialing it in the other day at the track. My point is is that even with my bad tuning I still had one of the fastest cars out there with only a P2K pro motor and a PIRAHNA 1500 cell pack that I had laying around. I slid out of turns and hit a bunch of stuff, nothing broke. hit a friend of mines TC3 in a Tbone at full speed, nothing broke on either cars. I agree with TC3 guy go with what you like, take a ride to your LHS and see if you can convince some of the guys there to let you testdrive theirs, or pick their brains for a few minutes. I did that and chose the TC3, and when I get it dialed in right its wicked fast. my 2/100 of a dollar

Hmmmmmm.....two good cars indeed.
My friend has a Factory Team TC3; top of the line material in there. Drove it once, and lost a few parts. One was a turnbuckle, and the other time it was a drive washer and wheel nut. But that could be an isolated incident....
The coolest thing about any car in the RS4 series is that many of the parts are interchangable. But the aftermarket is bigger for the TC3 right now, the Pro 3 will catch up in no time.
Two good cars, man. Then again, before you buy, you might want to wait for the new Losi XXX-S. That's said to be a great design too. :p
