my motor got sand all over it and in it, and i dont have motor spray, is there anything else that i can use to clean out the motor?
Car Head
P.S. i wasnt at the beach
I would pop the fiver for some motor spray. It's a lot cheaper than possibly ruining that motor trying something else. Make sure you tear it totally down and get every bit of sand out of it. Sand can really tear a motor up. ( I did run one on a beach once... just once mind you!)

you can use distilled water.... just use common sense and don't get the water near your esc or receiver... if anything, just unplug it totally from the car...
once rinsed out... you really need to make sure and get ALL the water out... you can use compressed air, or you can completely take the motor apart and do it by hand (use a dry rag to get all the sand out, and any water that didnt get blown out with the compressed air)....
you can pick up electic motor cleaner from your local autozone if price is an issue... works just as good if not better than the RC specific stuff...
peaceeeeeee out... :)

another thing to use is heavy duty car brake cleaner so if you have some in the garage try that
P.S. the rc stuff is the same thing just repackaged
