GorillaMaxx Battery Strap Durability?

Hey, guys.

I've purchased a set of GMaxx battery straps for my TC4, and my 1/8th brushless buggy conversion. Upon the first run with the TC4 the strap snapped/ripped right next to the mounting button/washer. Has anyone else had problems with these straps? did I maybe have a defective pair?

Also, do you guys know offhand what kind of warranty they have? Thanks, guys.

I had the washer start tearing one of mine too. I ended up making some small rectangular little pieces of aluminum and bent them up at more than a 90 degree angle, that way the strap has a rounded edge to ride against.
