Why is it that Novak advertises its'reversing esc's as having brake light capability even though they do not function properly when installed? I have a rooster and after about a yeat decided it would be cool to have brake lights. I purchased the novak kit, installed( drilled small holes in my sweet '58 vette body) only to find out that that the lights only light when the esc is in reverse. According to Novak, they are aware of this and that since they only sell about "10" kits a year(according to the customer rep) it is not a problem. I had to pay for shipping from tower, spend my time installing, mar my vette, go to post office to send back to novak, then to post office again to send back to tower. I was hoping for some kind of monetary break on the next product I bought from them for my troubles but was told "they don't do that".

ooooo that ***** . thats why you shoulda tested the lights before you drilled holes through your vette. that just shows not everything in R/C works! lol.

Well isnt it why it's called "brake lights"? when you pull to brake... the lights kick in... simulating the motion of a stopping vehicle... now using a reverse esc and attaching the kit will ya not seem realistic... i think the kit should be meant for forward only escs...

I should have tested the lights first, granted, but novak has been making these brake light kits for some time now. My problem is that they continue to to note 'brake light circuitry' as a feature on some of their reversing esc's. They should discontinue this false advertising and state the facts that they work properly only on forward only esc's. ;)
