Reading RCCA month after month I feel Tamiya TB01 are surprising uncommon despite their good mech-design work ...

TB01 is not as popular as the TC3 from associated. I have no idea why. I have a TB-EVO. It runs great and it is indestructable. I had millions of crashs and there is nothing broken yet. That can count as a success I guess.

Oh by the way, I don't think TB-Evo is a limited edition no more. I checked Tamiya's website and they have taken off the "limited edition" mark on the webpage for TB-Evo. I guess it got pretty good responds from people even thought it's so expensvie.

A TB01 is ok for a beginner, as most tamiya kits are. tamiya has a reputation for making long lasting cars, but not high performance cars. if you want to start racing the TB01, then you'll be spending way too much in hop up options to make the damn thing perform!! I'm speaking from my own experiences as I owned a TB01, then I couldn't stand it cos a lot of adjustments coultdn't be made on it. so I ended up buying an Xray T1.

Soh your wron, the tbo1 is a great car, there is nothing really you eed to add to it to make it perform it has oil shocks, bb's, and tie rods included with the kit, all you really need is an esc and a hot motor...thats it........

actually, they (Tamiya) have a longer suspension arms kit for the TB01,it comes with longer A arms, links, and dogbones, it will make handle a lot better as a touring car.
It's kinda pricey,like most everything Tamiya, it's $62.
