I have a solder gun and some solder. The wire i have to solder is the red one that goes to my motor. Every time i solder it together it comes loose. Or when im trying to bond the wire on the thing that solder just comes loose. what is the correct way to solder? Am i doing it correctly? What are my problems?

Go to your local hobby shop or slot car track and ask for some acid flux. Then put some of it on the wires and put solder to the wires and melt it. You should get a nice silver wire covered in solder. Do that to all wires, then sand the surface of the motor tabs, put flux on it, and heat it up and solder it. Then put acid flux on each the wire and motor tab and put them together, melt them together and I guarentee if you do it right, it will never come off. Yes it IS normal for the flux to sizzle, just dont let it touch your iron or it will start putting holes in it. Also I recommend getting a soldering iron instead of the gun, they are better, but only get one of you solder pretty often (get a 40watt).

You might have too much solder on the wire and tab also, sometimes if there is too much it will come apart as you described. When you are buying that acid flux, pick up a "solder-sucker" or some solder-removal braid.

The braid works better, I hate my solder-sucker, so I just started flinging the solder all over because it didnt work well enough.

There are some solder-suckers that don't work well, you need to find one with a very fine tip. They work really well, I finally got a good one. The braid works good too though. Just 2 methods to achieve the same result.

also make sure that the solder is inbetwean the little wires that make up the wire (don't know what its caled) and not just on top. this is what hapened to me before i got a hotter spoldering iorn.
