The thing handles like it's on rails. That is, if you're used to two wheel drive trucks like I am. It's very durable, except for the chrome on the rims, that stuff peels off easily. I have a 14 turn motor in it and it goes pretty good. I mean, after all, it is a touring car with longer arms and bigger tires! The shocks are too soft out of the box for most off-road tracks, but they have plenty of aftermarket parts to remedy that. I suggest bearings, MIP CVD's, and t. turnbuckles as the first hop ups. Do plan to race it or just backyard bash it? Setup correctly, it'll destroy two wheel drive trucks on the track!

You could take the front belt and drive axles out and drive it in two wheel peel, if you wanted to, but the four wheel drive is what makes it handle so well. I would leave it four wheel drive unless you broke a belt or something. Out of the box, it's a great backyard basher. The tires on the F-150 and the Dodge are horrible for off road, though. Unless you get the Beetle model, you'll want to replace them with some kind of knobs, probably the Dirt Dawgs.

Zenlosi is totally right. I put pro line wheels and dyed them blue with the blue and white viper paiint scheme on it.It looks really cool. I put ball diffs, lunsfords, heatsink, and graphite support on it with a 14T motor on it too. Just dont drive it in gravel.
