I have a team Xray 04 T1. I just recently added a novak 4.5 brushless system and when I go more than 1/2 throttle the front wheels shake really bad and the car goes out of controll. I'm not racing but just trying to have fun on my street and on empty parking lots. Am I the only one with this problem? Is this something thatcan be helped?

you might need a better sterring servo (sorry for the bad spelling) or some thing might have broken in the sterring linkage

your servo saver might be loose or damaged, don't ask me how
I know :D

There's more power going to the wheels, and they're also probably spinning faster than normal. Is there any play in the front axles? My TT-01 does it too with an SS5800, but after a second it's fine. There could also be the slighest bit of play int he steering assembly as well, and the ungodly torque could be exploiting it.

I had this kind of problem before, it was because my tires were not balanced well enough for the RPM they were turning.

Another thing to look at is the amount of power going to the servo & receiver. What I mean is, when you use a VERY high power motor like that one, under acceleration it will draw a LOT of amps, & if your ESC's Battery Elimination Circuit(BEC for short) isn't up to it, the battery might not be able to supply enough power to run the electronics, & when that happens, you lose servo control(it happens because the high amp draw causes the battery voltage to drop, sometimes too low to run the receiver & servo). But some of that also depends on your ESC, some of Novak's have what they call Radio Priority Circuitry, which makes sure the receiver & servo have enough power at ALL times, & will limit motor power when neccessary to maintain radio control. Barring that, you might also try a small receiver battery plugged directly into the receiver(so the receiver & servo won't be dependent on the main battery's voltage)....

Thanks guys .I'm going to be revieving some of your sugestions to see if it helps any. As far as the tires not being ballanced how would i go about ballancing street tires?
The steering assembly does have atiny bit of play so that might be the main reason why its doing it. I may have to stick to brushed power on the xray car. I'm waiting for my AE TC4 to arrive in the mail. When it gets here Ill see if I have the same problem with that one.

I use self adhesive lead tape to ballance wheels/tires, it is available at golf shops.

It is best to shave off weight rather than add it, but that would work.
I used an aircraft propeller balancer and a Dremel with a sanding drum to eat away some of the rubber. Also make sure you use good CA glue to mount the tire to the rim.
