I just bought some SMC IB 4200 from my lhs, but they only had Deans Probar 2.0s. I'm wondering if I need to use the 3.0 version bars insted of the 2.0 ones since these batteries are really high-end. Thanks in advance!

i would use the 3.0, otherwise youll loose power through resistance in the connector.

You might be ok with the 2.0's, but newer high capacity cells like your 4200's are actually a bit wider that previous cells. You will probably have better luck soldering the 3.0's than the 2.0's.
Dimensions on the SMC IB 4200 cells
Length:1.72in. 43.69mm
Diameter:0.92in. 23.37mm
Weight:2.38oz. 67.44gm
Dimensions on GP 3300
Length:1.69in. 42.93mm
Diameter:0.88in. 22.35mm
Weight:2.2oz. 62.34gm
As far as resistance goes, you probably wouldn't even notice, but if it really matters to you go ahead and get the 3.0's.

The only difference between the ProBar 2 & 3 is the offset. The ProBar 3 has less offset for flat-top cells.

well I already have the 2.0s but I think I'll just go a head and buy the 3.0s and keep the 2.0s for something that I'm not sure of now, it's just a loss of $3. Thanks for the replys!
