I was thinking about painting my crawler body silver on the inside and another color on the outside, so when I roll it it will look like scrapes. Has anyone tried this before?

One thing you could do that may be a bit more practical is to paint the colour you want the majority of the shell to be covered in on the inside, and then scratch up that paint from the inside, with a rock or something, and then cover those "scratches" with another coat or two of the colour you want to show through.

The reason I would suggest this is because when you roll a truck, you usually get scratches in one of three places: the front and sides of the top panel on the roof, the very back of the body, at the end of the bed, and at the front around the headlights, usually.

This way it would be a little more controlled and spread out.

I think that would be awesome. I think it would be cooler to do it while driving, it would be more natrual. I would like to try this but I dont have that much bank. :D

Same here. If you do a search you can probably find multiple disscussions about the technique, but I've never actually seen or heard of anyone doing it. Good luck.
