EVX trade in for E-maxx or Novak ESC?

I posted a thing before and now I have found that I can trade in my old ESC on my E-maxx for an EVX ESC, or should I just buy a Novak for it? Which is better? I need reverse by the way.

I say trade it in. You get the EVX for free and its made by novak. If you get the roosters you have to pay $100 + for them. Why pay when you can get something for free?
