RC10T, possible A main winner?

Hey I got an old RC10T and I'm determined to win in the A main at my local track. Do u think this is totally obsene or If I get good is it possible? I've seen guys with "inferior" equipment consistantly win races. For example: Last winter I raced at a track where this guy with a bone stock Traxxas Rustler always placed in the top 3 and often 1st place in the A-main of mod-truck offroad. The real kicker is, he was using a P2K in that Rustler!

He was just an awesome driver.

Long story short, if you are a really good driver and have that 10T setup perfect, you can beat lesser drivers with superior equipment. If everyones' driving abililty is about the same though, I'd have to say the newer trucks have the edge.

Buy the new upgrade kit...then you have a better shot...The worlds best mechanics cant do squat without the proper parts...or something like that...cant remember.

It is all about skill level. If you are a good driver, you should be able to win no matter what the vehicle is, as long as they are all similar. Just have a durable, well maintained vehicle and you should be fine. And be patient, can't win if you don't finish.

Well, years ago I put T2 A-arms and front shock tower on my 10T. It might've helped, but I have no idea.
